摘要

This study reports the influence of tie reinforcement on the load-bearingcapacity of a flat plate slab in a failure situation due to the removal of an edgecolumn. The results are based on numerical model analysis, experimentalinvestigations, and analytical estimation. A numerical model was developedusing the ATENA FEM program and validated based on the test results of thematerials used. Experimental studies on the edge column removal were carriedout for three models of 16 field flat plate slabs with varying degrees of tie reinforcement.Furthermore, the columns removed in Models M1 and M2 werenear the corner edge columns, whereas in Model M3, they were the middleedge columns. The behavior of a reinforced concrete flat plate subjected tolarge deflections was estimated analytically based on the current literature andcompared with the results obtained from numerical analyses and experimentalinvestigations. During the experimental investigations, many traditional andmodern techniques were used to measure the strains and displacements ofreinforcing steel and concrete.
