Everywhere I look I find another article on so called Green Buildings. Is this just media hype or is this phenomena real? There is no doubt that this issue is real, it will be here to stay and probably the only way for you and your company to remain in the building and construction game is to be able to provide environmental sustainability solutions. As Manager of building sector policy and programs within the Australian Greenhouse Office, the lead Australian Government agency on greenhouse issues, it is my job to work with industry and government to improve the energy and greenhouse performance of Australian buildings. Our programs,and those of similar State and Territory agencies, help organisations take action that will result in a reduction of the greenhouse gas emission signature of residential, commercial and public buildings.
