Accurately measuring temperature has a wide range of applications in weather monitoring and forecasting, process monitoring, machinery performance, and general health- and comfort-related tasks. This article describes an instrument to measure temperature in a manner that is fast and accurate (Photo 1). While not perfect for every application, this approach does offer some real advantages that you may find useful.
