The September import total was 64,474 tons which was 6,000 tons above the license number from last month. October licenses are down to 59,577 tons. The November forecast, with 9 of 21 days tallied, is down a bit more to 56,272 tons. This forecast is very much in the range of recent import levels. It seems buyers are reacting to slowing manufacturing activity.
