THIS SHOULD HAVE been one of those TV shows on some "man" channel you get with the 532 sources of cable effluvium available nowadays: The World's Skinniest Roads. It wasn't exactly "Paseo del Muerte" in Bolivia, but it was the most dangerous slice of highway we'd ever been on, a one-lane suicidal afterthought desperately clinging to the side of a cliff on Grand Canary Island. Porsche had brought us there to drive the fabulous new 911 cabriolet, although along this particular stretch of road, "driving" was a bit of a misnomer. It was more like speedy creeping.
