WE gave the DMX8021DABS' predecessor a Recommended rosette in the last multitest, so were keen to try the updated version. The main visual difference is that its depth is shallower than the Snooper's, at 85mm. This means it's unlikely to need extra mountings and leaves more space for wires. The connections for up to four cameras, subwoofers, amps, microphones and USBs are all welcome. Its screen fits almost flush to the car's facia, too, except for a 'shelf' at the bottom of the unitthat has a line of physical buttons. These are far easier to use while driving than the Snooper's touchscreen ones, and you can even tailor the illumination to match your car's.
