IHC SCOTT VENTURING INTO AGGREGATES

IHC Scott, a heavy civil contractor serving the Western U.S., positioned itself to sell aggregates following three pit purchases and a lease in Colorado. The Colorado operations IHC Scott added are the Mill Iron Pit, the Bernhardt Pit, the Rifle Pit and the Flintstone Pit. Aggregates from each of the four sites will be used to enhance IHC Scott's vertical integration. "We're thrilled to begin offering aggregates," says Jim Randall, president of IHC Scott. "This move will help us better compete in the marketplace.
