Almost 11.2 GW of generation capacity had been approved forsynchronization to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas gridfor more than six months as of Dec. 20, but developers hadnot taken the final step toward commissioning, impairs markettransparency, ERCOT staff said Jan. 30.Of the 53 projects making up the 11.2 GW, 36 projectsrepresenting almost 8.2 GW have been at this stage for morethan a year, and 18 of those have been at this stage for more thantwo years, said Jay Teixeira, ERCOT director of system planning,during the ERCOT Wholesale Market Working Group meeting.
