Aruba seeks new operator to reopen refnery

Aruba is reopening discussions with companies that had made unsuccessful bids in 2020 to operate the island’s mothballed 235,000 b/d San Nicolas refnery, energy minister Glenbert Croes said. State oil company RdA has cancelled an agreement with California-based electrical engineering frm Quanten that won the bid in 2020 to refurbish, upgrade and operate the facility, Croes said.
