As many of you know,my dad,Jack,passed away in September.He was a longtime publisher of Paper Age magazine.He was a big fan of not just the industry but the product itself-paper-and his not-so-paperless office was overwhelming evidence of such.As impressed as Jack was with the efficiency of the computers in our office,they were no match for his vintage Royal typewriter and reams and reams of paper-and let me tell you,he could type.There was something about the sound of him punching the keys on that typewriter and then swiftly pulling the sheet of paper from between its rollers that provided an old-fashioned newsroom-like atmosphere that was reassuring to work in.
