In entering the flat rolled aluminium products market, Steel Dynamics is placing its trust in SMS group, continuing their long and shared history in the steel industry. The first aluminium facility for Steel Dynamics in Columbus, Mississippi, will have an annual capacity of 650,000 tonnes to produce sheet for cans, vehicles and industrial applications.
