The October import total was 67,196 tons which was amost 20 higher than the license number from last month and very close to September’s total. November licenses indicate a drop in volume to 49,038 tons. The December forecast, with 9 of 21 days tallied, is 59,690 tons. The top import item for October 2021 for mechanical tube was welded, carbon, square or rect., wall less than 0.156” with 28,759 tons. The price was $1,867/ton which was down almost $100/ton from the previous month. This is a reversal of a 6 month trend.
