Poly (arylene sulfide sulfone)/polytetrafluoroethylene composite film: Thermal, mechanical, hydrophobic and low dielectric constant properties

? 2022Films with excellent thermal properties and low dielectric constants have broad prospective applications in microelectronic devices. In this work, a poly (aryl sulfide sulfone)/polytetrafluoroethylene (PASS/PTFE) composite film was successfully fabricated via a combination of electrospinning and hot pressing. As PTFE nanoparticles were dispersed uniformly throughout the composite film, the film exhibited excellent thermal stability (Tdmax = 523.56 ℃), outstanding mechanical properties (57.71 MPa tensile strength), and good hydrophobicity (97.7°). Moreover, the film exhibited excellent dielectric properties: at 1 MHz, the dielectric constant and Tanδ of the film were 2.79 and 0.0051, respectively. Thus, it will have broad prospective applications in microelectronic devices.
