The February 2022 import volume was 172,195 tons which is almost right on the the license total published last month.The March licenses indicate a large increase to 268,133 tons. The April forecast, given 12 of 21 days, indicates a drop in volume to 211,785 tons. That would be a return to volumes we saw late in 2021. The top import item for the month of February 2022 was Casing, ERW, Carbon, PE, at 43,791 tons. The price was $1,348/ton. Volume over double from last month in this item.
