Global aluminium output up in May

Global aluminium production edged higher in May as output in- creased in China and the Middle East, the two top aluminium- producing regions. Global aluminium output reached 5.81mn t in May, accord- ing to data from International Aluminium, up by 0.43pc on the year. Daily output averaged 187,300t in May, up by 0.32pc on the month.
