If you reviewed our shipment comments last month, then you know already that while licenses were just a bit above the July import total, it was still a very good month - and the August licenses are off the chart. In a product driven by import supply, the licenses suggest just what we have been seeing in the market, higher demand from most all sectors. Stainless imports pointed to the OCTG market have been up and down over the last 6 months, but the trend is mostly up and slightly more consistent of late. If early September volumes hold, this will be a big month.
