The war in Ukraine won’t delay revisions to chemical regulations in Europe, but the war and Covid-19 have underscored industry’s need for time to comply, a European Commission officialsaid Wednesday.The European Commission expects to propose revisions to the Classification, Labeling and Packaging, or CLP, regulation by late summer and an update of the REACH, or Registration,Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, regulation by early 2023, said Kristin Schreiber, who leads the European Commission’s directorate addressing chemicals, food,retail, and health.
