St Helens Borough Council at NSG Pilkington's Greengate site C-Capture's Process Engineer,John Mackay with a carbon capture solvent compatibility unit(CCSU)Glass Futures is participating in a £1.7 million Department for Business,Energy and Industrial Strategy's(BEIS)-funded project along with one of its members sites,Pilkington UK(part of NSG Group),to demonstrate the feasibility of low-cost carbon capture solutions in hard-to-decarbonise industries such as glass.The not-for-profit research and technology organisation has partnered with C-Capture,developers of world-leading chemical processes in carbon dioxide removal,who have secured funding from the BEIS £1 billion Net Zero Innovation Portfolio.
