Efficacy and economics of tricyclazole (75 WP) in control of leaf blast of rice

Blast of rice caused by Pyricularia grisea (Cooke) Sacc. accouants for serious yield loss in different phases of crop growth in all the rice growing areas of the country (Padmanabhan, 1965). Under 'Konkan' agroclimatic conditions, the disease is severe in certain pockets during post-monsoon season due to favourable environmental conditions. Severity of the disease is more in the nursery and in the tillering stage. In the present study, the efficacy and economics of different fungicides against leafblast was taken up.
