Inverawe Native Gardens: A Garden with Attitude

At Inverawe Native Gardens we have a party trick when local clubs visit. We pick a great big bunch of flowers and a lucky club member gets to take them home. We can do that 365 days a year. There never is a time when we do not have lots of plants in bloom. Our aim is to encourage people to grow native plants. Visitors get to see healthy native plants growing en situ, not just as pots standing in a nursery. Our visitors' book has comments like "inspiring", "tranquil", "a beautiful garden" and "what alot of work" but it just indicates what two people with a mission can achieve. People say "you must spend every waking moment in the garden!" Well, no. If you have the environment working with you, it's easier than you think.
