Turkey’s petroleum coke imports fell to the lowest level since at least 2014 in 2021, as cement sector buyers moved away from coke amid a sustained supply tightness in the seaborne market. The country’s fuel-grade green coke imports fell to 2.04mn t last year, down by more than a third from 3.18mn t a year earlier, according to Turkish statistics agency Tuik. December receipts stood at 127,200t, which was about 31,100t lower from a year earlier.
