Transport simulations including in-medium properties derived in a microscopic #pi#+NN~(-1) + triangle open N~(-1) model in infinite nuclear matter are presented. In-medium pion dispersion relations, partial triangle open decay widths, pion absorption cross sections, and triangle open cross sections are incorporated into the transport description by means of a local density approximation. Comparisons between standard and medium-modified transport simulations are presented. Large changes of n and triangle open production and absorption and absorption rates are found, but the effect on the resulting pion observables is relatively small.
