摘要

Bhut jalakia is a well known name in India and the world. It was formerly recognized by the Guinness World Record as the world’s hottest chilli in 2007. It is a interspecific hybrid between Capsicum chinense and C. frutescens. (Bosland & Baral, 2007), grown in Assam, Nagaland and Manipur region of India. Bhut jalakia with a Scovelli rating of 1,041,427 heat unit (SHU) having various kind of uses. This is due to the fact that very little investigations have been made on the scientific cultivation ofBhut jalakia. Efforts was thus made to record the incidence of various diseases in Bhut jalakia and their symptomatology.
