Arctic crude finds new markets

Ghana and Brazil emerged as destinations for Russian arctic crude for the first time in August. Shipments to Ghana accounted for just under a quarter of overall crude and condensate exports from the Arctic region, which fell by 3.8pc against July to 298,000 b/d (1.25mn t) last month — the lowest since September 2022 and down by more than a quarter against August last year.
