Wind power installations typically include many wind turbines that must be maintained in good working condition, at least for safety and efficiency reasons. There is a need for monitoring techniques that can detect anomalies in wind turbine performance in a wind power installation, where such anomalies may flag the need for maintenance or repair. In an existing technique, anomalies can be detected using 'high' and 'low' thresholds on single sensors (i.e. for individual wind turbines). Figure 1 below illustrates such a technique.
