This paper studies the relationship between the coordinated development of tourism economy and ecological environment in the Yellow River Basin. By constructing the evaluation index system and coordinated development degree model of tourism and ecological environment in the Yellow River Basin, this paper studies the coordinated development degree of tourism and ecological environment in the Yellow River Basin from 2004 to 2019. The research shows that the overall ecological environment of the Yellow River Basin is poor, the development of tourism is insufficient, and the imbalance is prominent. The coordinated development degree of tourism and ecological environment belongs to the general coordinated type, and the coordinated development degree is significantly affected by the ecological environment. Based on this, the concept of ecological environment priority should be established for the high-quality development of tourism in the Yellow River Basin. While constructing the mechanism of regional coordinated development, we should implement the driving strategy of scientific and technological innovation and the development model of "culture + ecology + tourism".
