May imports totaled 61,510 tons which was relatively flat with recent months. June 2023 licenses were 75,286 tons, well above the YTD monthly average. Licenses through 10 of 20 business days in July, generate a linear forecast of 68,927 tons. May’s highest volume import item was CARBON, WELDED, OVER 4 1/2", NOT OVER 16" OD, OTHER, with 18,290 tons - flat with last month’s volume. This is its fifth month atop Standard Pipe’s import charts. The price was fell $84 to $991/ton.
