Late blight of potato is primarily a foliar disease but it readily infects the tubers. The disease has more effect on tuber yield but if it occurs in seed crop there will be a total loss of crop, which will be unfit for seed certification. In order to manage lale blight disease, use of fungicides and development of host resistance is one of the important weapons. (Singh & Singh 1997) Hence, this study was undertaken in field.
