Bradford’s Science and Media Museum is recruiting a team to design a £2.9 million suite of sound and vision galleries. The team selected for the estimated £430,000 commission will transform the museum’s foyer and third and fifth-floor gallery spaces while adding a passenger lift. The 1,000m~2 project will deliver a ‘visually stimulating and immersive’ exhibition space for permanent collections, focusing on media technologies that transformed the modern world. King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council is seeking a multidisciplinary team to restore and upgrade its Grade I-listed St George’s Guildhall complex. The team selected for the estimated £500,000 contract will advance an existing RIBA Stage 1 study to create a site-wide masterplan for the ancient town-centre building ahead of an application for National Lottery Heritage Fund support. The estimated £9 million project will restore and redevelop England’s oldest and largest complete medieval guildhall to deliver a landmark heritage and cultural attraction for King’s Lynn, featuring a Shakespearean theatre with level physical access, retail, catering and an accessible workshop and maker space.
