US July gas futures increased by 1.1c on Thursday to $2.608 per million Btu after offi cial government data showed that last week's gasstorage build was 4 billion cubic feet above expectations, sapping momentum from Wednesday's 10.5c rally. The US Energy Information Administration reported a 95 Bcf injection into storage for the week ended Jun. 16, increasing net workinggas inventories to 2,729 Bcf. The week's build compares with a year-ago injection of 76 Bcf and the fi ve-year average increase of 86Bcf.
