Ceramics embody many different haptic and aesthetic qualities. Artist Oliver Beer is fascinated by the sound of objects, particularly the sound of the inside of made vessels. He has a new exhibition: Albion Waves, in the (always interesting) London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE deep in the City of London. The exhibition is as much an aural as a visual experience, as visitors trigger sounds from 28 different vessels hung from the ceiling. The vessels map some 2,000 years of cultural and social changes in Britain's material history.
