Coordinated development of ecological environment and economy has become a hot spot of sustainable development research. This study analysed the coordination between ecological environment and economic development in Hubei Province so that guidance and suggestions can be provided. Based on the comprehensive evaluation index of ecological environment and economy in Hubei Province in recent years, coordination degree model of ecological environment and economic development was established, and trend and coordination degree relationships of ecological environment and economy were analysed. The results show that coordination degree of economy and ecological environment in Hubei Province has been getting higher and higher, showing that environmental protection is attached more importance with rapid economic development. Ecological environment and economy are mutually dependent and mutually stimulating. The higher the coordination degree between them, the better the sustainable development can be achieved.
