I WAS following a purple Volkswagen down the freeway last week, and hanging its head out of the rear window was the biggest German shepherd I've ever seen. His fur was flying in the breeze, he had a big smile on his face and his large pink tongue wasflapping in the slipstream. He was having the best time. At the stop lights, I pulled up beside a snazzy black BMW, and a bright-eyed mini foxie lay stretched out on the rear window ledge, enjoying the sun.
