Investigation of statistics collection process in a TCP/IP network

摘要

A centralized approach to the collection of statistical information used in a TCP/IP network is investigated. The problem of determining optimal parameters of the statistics collection process that minimizes both the load of statistical information on the network as well a the probability of losses of this information is solved by means of a proposed simulation model. The range of applicability of the centralized approach is determined for high rates of linkage of TCP connections.
