While we always include the Federal Reserve G17 press release data, we usually don’t spend a lot of time talking about it. This month industrial production, with just part of the month involved in the shut-down related to COVID-19, declined by the highest rate since the demobilization after WWll – January and February 1946. The summary is shown at the right. Virtually every durable goods sector saw significant declines.
