Minimization of Delivery Cost in Content Delivery Networks with Multilevel Hierarchical Architecture

摘要

A model for minimization of delivery costs of Web contents to ultimate users in Content Delivery Networks with multilevel hierarchical architecture is proposed in the present article. Minimization of delivery cost is achieved through an integrated approach to the solution of the following problems: optimal distribution of customers; determination of the optimal points of location of servers; and optimal distribution of content replicas by server. The proposed model reduces to a problem of discrete programming.
