LyondellBasell Signs Additional PPAs To Meet Renewable Electricity Target

Rotterdam-LyondellBasell said it is "quickly" advancing towards its 2030 global renewable electricity target with the signing of its first two European renewable electricity power purchase (PPA) agreements and two additional PPAs in the U.S. (PCN, 15-22 Aug 2022, p 3). The combined additional contracts represent a total of around 560 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy capacity. The company has now signed eight PPAs and achieved over half of its 2030 target to procure a minimum of 50 of global electricity from renewable sources.
