摘要

A NATIONAL survey on young school children's eating habits has revealed some disturbing facts about their diets. The poll found just 27% of children ate the recommended two pieces of fruit on the day of the survey. And 40% of children interviewed ateno fruit at all. It also found snack foods such as potato crisps and chocolate biscuits high on children's eating agendas. The results - commissioned for the Australian Horticultural Corporation (AHC) from the first national food audit in 10 years - have come as a shock to many but for president of the Australian Apple and Pear Growers' Association, Jon Durham, they were as expected.
