The tropical pasture seed industry relies on a seed bank developed more than 40 years ago but for the past 10 years government research bodies have been withdrawing investment from the resource that underpins grazing in the north. John Rains, generalmanager of Southedge Seeds, has been involved with the development of tropical pasture plants and seed production for more than 50 years.
