Technology for less stubble trouble

As Australian farms are increasingly subject to more extreme growing conditions, the awareness of on-farm stubble management is becoming paramount in conserving soil water reserves. Trials in April by the WA Department of Agriculture (DAWA) indicatedthat after 50 millimetres of rainfall in February, 85% more moisture was retained in the soil underneath cut or standing stubble, relative to paddocks which had been burnt postharvest.
