摘要

Farm foresters have a specialty timber with a story to tell about the natural environment in which it was grown and the people involved. Consumers are growing more interested in the source of goods and foods they buy; so becoming more integrated intothe supply chain may be a way to improve timber returns. With funding by the Joint Venture Agro-forestry Program, an innovative model developed by the central Victorian landholder co-operative, SMARTimbers, has been put to the test.
