ABOUT 90% of Carla Zampatti's winter collections are made from woollen fabrics. The vertically integrated designer, manufacturer, retailer and International Wool Secretariat (IWS) director for the last four years, is enthused about the success of herwoollen fashion clothing. "There is nothing so dependable as wool Cotton looks casual, silk looks fragile and is difficult to sew, polyester microfibres look plastic and linen crushes. "Our market is for business women and they don't want to look crushed. Wool doesn't get as dirty or crush easily; you can wear it every day, hang it up at night and wear it again the next day without ironing," she says.
