THERE is a buzz of excitement pervading the West Australian Merino sector. With the value of sheepmeat restored and its medium to long-term future virtually assured, supply chain alliances are emerging with sheep producers establishing new approachesto satisfy the demand. They are being supported by nutritionists and feed millers who are developing new feeds giving startling animal production results. One of the new generation Merino lamb finishers is Narrogin farmer Cameron White. Farming in partnership with his father Alan and brother Lach-lan who manages the cropping operation, Cameron White finishes up to 5000 lambs on an annual basis over a two month period.
