The subject of beef grading and in particular the description of cow beef or budget beef has long been a topic of discussion in the Australian beef industry. The proponents of this system believe that by describing cow beef as 'cow beef, 'budget beefor 'manufacturing beef they will be able to engender a greater degree of customer satisfaction because customers will understand that the meat is a secondary product.
