A PRIME selection of properties owned by some of Australia's major land barons are being auctioned this month. The pick of them is the Australian Agricultural Company's Windy Station at Quirindi in north-west NSW, which could make up to 20 million dollar. The 13,600-hectare property on the rich cropping country of the Liverpool Plains is considered to be one of the best in the country and is AustAg's last remaining NSW holding, The sale will end AustAg's 172-year association with that state, Windy Station is part of the original Warrah Estate land grant to the company in 1833. Tenders for the property close on November 12.
