Indorama Acquires Oxiteno from Ultrapar;Becomes Part of IOD Business Segment

Bangkok-Indorama Ventures(IVL)said it has concluded the purchase of Brazil-based Oxiteno from Ultrapar,becoming a"leading"global supplier in high-value surfactant markets(PCN,23 Aug 2021,p 2).The acquisition includes 11 manufacturing plants in Latin America and the U.S.,five research and development centers,an experienced management team,a strong environmental governance record,and expertise in green chemistry innovation,IVL noted.IVL made an initial payment of around $1.3-billion for Oxiteno and will make a final payment of $150-million in 2024.
