Woolgrowers struggle to venture beyond auction

Opportunities for producers to manage their wool income have been available for years with forward contracts, futures and electronic selling, but according to Western Australia's Curtin University researcher Elizabeth Jackson, few farmers are using them. In this three-part series based on information obtained through her interviews with WA woolgrowers, Jackson explores why so few farmers have ventured outside the auction market.
