SIRO's Dr Barrie Pittock believes climate signs are showing more rapid warming of the earth than previously accepted. He thinks the previous (2001) Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Report did not sufficiently estimate the rate of temperature increase. Writing recently in Ecos, Pittock stated that the upper limit on IPCC's projected temperature increase for the year 2100 may not be great enough. The figure arrived at was 5.8°C. Pittock would be less impressed with the recently released 2007 IPCC Report estimating an upper limit of only 4.5°C.
