MANY FARMERS and people in small business, along with most accountants, have at times experienced frustration with the process of communicating with the Australian Tax Office (ATO). Being placed in an electronic telephone queue, and then trying to getyour message across to someone who may not necessarily understand your situation can be a frustrating process. All is not lost however. It would seem that someone has been listening to our cries for help. The tax office recently officially launched its"business portal". This is an internet gateway for people in business to access the ATO's online services.
