An experiment was carried out to assess the bio-efficacy of bio-rational insecticide against seed borer, Trymalitis margarias Meyrick on sapota at FRS, NAU, Gandevi (Gujarat) under ICAR-AICRP on Fruits. The sequential application of profenofos 50 EC and indoxacarb 14.5 SC reduced the fruit damage up to 2.83 and was statistically similar with deltamethim 2.8 EC and (Bacillus thuhngiensis var. Kurstaki) which recorded 2.94 fruit damage as compared to control (8.52). While, application of spinosad and chlorantraniliprole had minimum fruit damage up to 3.48 . The application of deltamethrin and Bt exhibited minimum unmarketable fruits yield (0.65 t ha1) and analogous with profenofos and indoxacarb (0.66 t ha~(-1)) than control (1.45 t ha~(-1)). After that, application of spinosad and chlorantraniliprole recorded fruit damage up to 0.81 t ha~(-1). The annual average marketable fruits yield was found higher in application of profenofos and indoxacarb (17.931 ha~(-1)) and found similar with deltamethrin and Bt (17.711 ha~(-1)) than control (14.591 ha~(-1).The research findings advocated the sequential application of deltamethrin @ 1 mL L~(-1) and Bt @ 1 g L~(-1) at 15 days interval at marble stage of fruit (October onwards) as economical and improve the number of marketable fruits in sapota.
